If you’re one to keep up with the times, then you’re familiar with Kobe Bryant’s helicopter accident. If you’re not, in sum, on Sunday morning, Bryant–41, Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter– Gigi, and eight other passengers were killed in a helicopter crash in the mountains of Calabasas.
Currently in the news with Trump’s Impeachment, China’s Coronavirus, Bryant’s untimely death, and a plethora of other occurrences, its almost impossible not to pay attention to all the negative news that is being reported on in the world. I always find that things seem to get worse and worse before the get better, the only caveat being they never or rarely seem to get better. With all the bad in the world the good often goes under the radar. In joining my most pessimistic and optimistic opinions together, I believe that positive news feeds and good deeds do not sell as well as tragic or scandalous news because we inherently expect the world to be good even though current day climates tell us otherwise. Being or doing acts of good in the world loses it’s spotlight to the bad. Peoples pain gets clicks and their tragedies get attention, and of course, if its gains attention or any kind of publicity for that matter, it can be made into a profit.
